IELTS Band Score Structure
- Listening: 40 questions, scored 0-9
- Reading: 40 questions, scored 0-9
- Writing: 2 tasks, scored 0-9 by examiners
- Speaking: 3-part interview, scored 0-9
Your overall band is the average of four sections, rounded to nearest half band.
Overall Band Calculation Formula
Overall = round0.5 L + R + W + S 4
Average ending in .25 → rounds down to .0
Average ending in .75 → rounds up to next .5
Example: 6.625 → 6.5 | 6.875 → 7.0
