How to use this ecosystems practice quiz
- Answer before checking.Choose an option, then press Check Answer to record it. Use a hint when you need one; hint use is noted in your results.
- Explain the reasoning.Read the explanation after each answer. For calculations, check units and the number of energy transfers.
- Revisit weak topics.Review missed answers or questions marked for review. Retry the selection for a fresh attempt, then apply the ideas to new graphs and written questions.
Calculation check: NPP = GPP − producer respiration. The 10% rule is an approximate trophic-transfer model; apply it once for each feeding step specified.

How much of the AP Environmental Science exam is Unit 1?
College Board assigns Unit 1: The Living World: Ecosystems a 6–8% weighting in the multiple-choice section. This independent practice quiz is not an official College Board exam.
Can I see explanations and retry missed questions?
