Dubai School Fees for 2026–27: Your Guide to Tuition Costs and Planning
Compare annual tuition ranges for 151 named Dubai private schools, understand what the fee freeze means, and build a realistic education budget beyond headline tuition.
Data reviewed: 29 July 2026 · Tuition shown in UAE dirhams (AED)
Dubai private-school tuition will not increase for the 2026–27 academic year. KHDA confirmed the emirate-wide fee freeze on 22 May 2026. That gives families greater certainty over approved tuition, but it does not make every school cost the same—and it does not mean transport, uniforms, books, examinations, trips, meals, devices, extracurricular activities, or optional support services are included in tuition. Use this guide as a comparison starting point, then confirm your child’s exact grade and fee components in the school’s current KHDA School Fees Fact Sheet.
Dubai School Fees Are Frozen for 2026–27
Under directives from Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, KHDA confirmed that Dubai private schools cannot apply a general tuition-fee increase for the 2026–27 academic year. In practical terms, approved 2025–26 tuition remains the starting point for 2026–27 planning.
The freeze is important because it removes the annual uncertainty created by a possible tuition increase. Parents comparing schools can work with a firmer headline number. Families with children already enrolled can estimate the next academic year without adding a general KHDA-approved percentage increase to tuition.
However, “fees frozen” should not be read as “your total education bill cannot change.” Your child may move into a grade with higher tuition. A discount may expire or change. Transport routes, uniforms, books, examination charges, trips, meals, devices, extracurricular activities, and optional services can differ by year and school. Some mandatory charges may be presented separately from tuition. The relevant comparison is therefore your expected all-in annual cost, not tuition alone.
How Much Do Dubai Private Schools Cost in 2026–27?
The 151 named schools in the supplied dataset span a very wide tuition market. The lowest published annual figure is AED 4,466, while the highest published annual tuition reaches AED 143,681. These numbers are the outer edges of the dataset, not a typical bill for every family. A school’s fee range can stretch considerably because early-years tuition, primary tuition, secondary tuition, sixth-form programmes, and specialised diploma pathways may be priced differently.
Among the 149 schools with an authenticated minimum tuition figure, 18 have a published starting fee below AED 10,000; 46 start between AED 10,000 and AED 24,999; 53 start between AED 25,000 and AED 49,999; and 32 start at AED 50,000 or more. A low starting figure may apply only to the earliest grade, so it should not be used as the family’s long-term annual budget without checking later grades.
The top of the range tells a different story. Among the 148 schools with an authenticated maximum, 26 stay below AED 25,000 at the highest published point; 41 reach AED 25,000–49,999; 61 reach AED 50,000–99,999; and 20 have a published maximum of at least AED 100,000. That distribution shows why parents should compare the fee trajectory across all grades their child may attend.
Why fee ranges can be so wide
- Grade level: Secondary and post-16 programmes often cost more than early years or primary.
- Programme choice: A school may combine a national curriculum with IB Diploma or another senior pathway.
- Campus structure: A primary-only school naturally has a narrower range than a school covering early years through Year 13 or Grade 12.
- Published lower bounds: “From” identifies a verified entry point, not a complete minimum-to-maximum schedule.
- Discounts: Promotional, corporate, founder, sibling, employee, scholarship, and early-payment reductions can change the amount paid, but the table records published tuition rather than assuming a discount.
Dubai School Fees 2026–27: All 151 Named Schools
The table includes every named school in the supplied workbook across the Outstanding, Very Good, and Good rating bands. It intentionally has only the four requested fields: school name, area, annual fee range, and curriculum. Use the search box to find a school, community, or curriculum. The fee column shows annual tuition only unless a school publishes a combined figure.

Coverage and methodology: The workbook contains 151 named schools: 23 Outstanding, 47 Very Good, and 81 Good. Published summaries state that these rating bands contain 152 schools—23 Outstanding, 48 Very Good, and 81 Good—but the accessible row-level list does not identify one Very Good school. This article includes every named row and does not invent the unidentified entry. “Contact school” is used where a fee could not be authenticated, and “From” is retained where only a verified lower bound was available.
What Tuition Usually Does Not Include
Annual tuition is only one part of the cost of private education in Dubai. The KHDA School Fees Fact Sheet separates tuition, mandatory charges, required supplies, and optional services, allowing parents to compare schools more consistently. The exact categories vary, but the following expenses deserve a separate line in your budget.
Registration and enrolment
Application, assessment, enrolment, and re-enrolment payments affect cash flow even when some amounts are later deducted from tuition. Check whether a fee is refundable and which deadlines apply.
Transport
Bus fees depend on route and operator. Compare transport with the cost and time of driving, parking, fuel, tolls, and after-school collection.
Uniforms and supplies
Uniform, shoes, stationery, books, tablets, laptops, calculators, and replacement items can create a meaningful first-term bill—especially for a new student.
Examinations and assessments
External examination boards, benchmark tests, language assessments, university admissions tests, and graduation-related charges may apply in particular grades.
Trips and activities
Local trips, residential camps, overseas travel, clubs, sport, music, awards, competitions, and extracurricular programmes can be optional but important to a family’s school experience.
Learning support
Learning support assistants, specialist assessments, therapy, language support, and additional educational services can vary widely. Families should ask what is included and what is separately charged.
How to Build a Realistic Dubai School Budget
1. Start with the exact grade, not the school minimum
Find the tuition for the grade your child will enter in 2026–27. Then review the next two or three grades so that your choice remains affordable as tuition steps upward. For younger children, a long-term view is particularly important because the maximum may be much higher than the entry fee.
2. Add mandatory charges
Use the KHDA Fact Sheet to identify fees that are required in addition to tuition. Do not assume that books, activities, laboratory use, examinations, technology, or medical services are included merely because another school bundles them.
3. Estimate optional but likely costs
A charge can be officially optional yet practically important to your family. Transport, canteen use, devices, clubs, sport, music, camps, and trips should be budgeted according to how your child will actually participate.
4. Map the payment calendar
Annual affordability and monthly cash flow are different questions. Record application deadlines, deposits, term instalments, transport payments, uniform purchases, and examination periods. A school may fit the annual budget but create difficult payment peaks.
5. Test discounts conservatively
Ask whether a discount applies to tuition only, how long it lasts, which child or grade qualifies, and whether it can be combined with another offer. Build your base plan using the amount you can confirm in writing rather than the maximum advertised discount.
6. Add a contingency
A reserve of roughly 5%–10% of expected school-related spending can absorb route changes, replacement devices, new uniforms, unexpected trips, or support needs. The right buffer depends on the family and the services used.
How Curriculum Affects Your School-Fee Comparison
Dubai families can choose among British, American, Indian, IB, French, UAE Ministry of Education, and other international pathways. Curriculum influences grade structure, assessment, subject choice, transferability, examination charges, university preparation, and the point at which specialised programmes begin. It should not be chosen on price alone.
Mixed labels in the table matter. “British / IB” may indicate a British pathway in earlier grades followed by an IB option later. “American / IB” can indicate an American programme plus an IB Diploma pathway. “Indian (CISCE) / IB” or “Indian (CBSE) / IGCSE” signals multiple programmes or transitions. Confirm which track your child would enter and whether its tuition differs from the school’s headline range.
When comparing curricula, ask how easily your child can transfer, which qualifications are offered in senior years, what external examinations cost, how language requirements are handled, and whether subject choices match future plans. A lower tuition figure can become less attractive if a later transfer requires tutoring, repeated coursework, or a longer commute.
How to Shortlist Dubai Schools Beyond Fees
Price narrows the field, but it should not decide the school on its own. Build a shortlist that satisfies budget, location, curriculum, learning needs, and family priorities together.
- Location and commute: Test the route at school-run times, not only on a weekend map.
- Curriculum continuity: Confirm the pathway through the grades your child is likely to attend.
- Learning support: Ask how needs are identified, supported, staffed, communicated, and charged.
- Classroom experience: Discuss class size, teacher stability, subject access, homework, assessment, and student wellbeing.
- Facilities you will use: Do not pay a premium for impressive facilities that are irrelevant to your child’s programme or interests.
- Parent communication: Review calendars, reporting, complaint procedures, response times, and the Parent/School Contract.
- Admissions availability: A published fee does not mean a seat is available in the required grade.
- Total cost: Compare tuition plus mandatory fees, likely optional services, transport, and future grade progression.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will Dubai private-school tuition increase in 2026–27?
No general tuition increase is permitted for the 2026–27 academic year under the KHDA fee-freeze announcement. A child moving to a more expensive grade can still face a higher personal tuition bill, and non-tuition charges or discounts may differ.
What is the cheapest Dubai school fee in this guide?
The lowest published annual tuition in the 151-school dataset is AED 4,466. That is an entry in a broad market, not a citywide standard. Verify the applicable grade and all additional charges before comparing it with another school.
What is the highest Dubai school tuition listed for 2026–27?
The highest published annual tuition in the dataset is AED 143,681. High-end fees usually apply to particular senior grades or programmes, so compare the exact grade rather than the school-wide maximum alone.
Does the table include every private school in Dubai?
No. It includes every named school in the supplied Outstanding, Very Good, and Good dataset: 151 schools. Published counts indicate one additional Very Good school, but that school was not named in the accessible row-level list and has not been invented.
Are books, uniforms, and transport included in the fee range?
Generally, the table presents annual tuition. Books, uniforms, transport, examinations, meals, trips, devices, extracurricular activities, and support services are excluded unless a school combines a charge with tuition. Check the Fact Sheet.
Why does one school have such a wide tuition range?
The lower figure may apply to early years or primary, while the upper figure may apply to secondary, sixth form, or a specialised programme. Schools covering more grades often have wider ranges.
What does “From AED” mean?
It means a verified lower bound was available but a complete maximum could not be authenticated from the source used. Contact the school and check the KHDA Fact Sheet for the required grade.
How should parents compare two schools with similar tuition?
Compare total annual cost, future grade fees, commute, curriculum pathway, learning support, class experience, teacher stability, subject choices, facilities your child will use, and admissions availability.
Can sibling or corporate discounts reduce the published fee?
They may, but eligibility, duration, stacking rules, grade coverage, and renewal can vary. Request written confirmation and avoid building a long-term budget around an unconfirmed promotion.
Where can I verify the exact fee for my child?
Use the school’s current KHDA School Fees Fact Sheet through the KHDA Education Directory, then confirm the amount and payment terms directly with the school before paying.
Sources and Methodology
Tuition ranges, areas, curricula, and school names come from the supplied Dubai Private School Fees — 2026–27 workbook, checked on 29 July 2026. The workbook compiles published tuition across available grades and programmes and does not estimate missing fees.
