A passing score is 65 out of 100 on the scaled score. Based on the June 2025 chart, you need approximately 49 raw points out of 85 to pass.

What score do I need for Mastery? +

For Mastery designation (Level 5), you need 85+. On June 2025, this requires approximately 69 raw points out of 85.

How is the Physics Regents scored? +

Part A: 35 MCQ, Part B-1: 15 MCQ, Part B-2: 15 CR points, Part C: 20 extended response points. Total: 85 raw points.

What topics are covered? +

Mechanics (~60%), electricity & magnetism, waves (sound/light), and modern physics. Kinematics, forces, and energy are heavily tested.

What reference tables are provided? +

You receive the Physics Reference Tables with equations, constants, and conversions. Familiarize yourself with the organization beforehand!

Can I use a calculator? +

Yes! Graphing and scientific calculators are permitted and strongly recommended for quantitative problems.
